Jonathan Cain’s Faith Journey. Call to Service. Montreal Church Fire. Aid to Cuba.

In this episode, correspondents Quinton Amundson and Luke Mandato join host Mickey Conlon in an episode sponsored by the Lift Jesus Higher Rally. Opening with music from Journey’s Jonathan Cain, whose legendary rock career is being matched by a deep Christian faith. Mandato shares highlights from his conversation with Cain about how faith and his newest EP project drive his lifetime of music and ministry. Amundson then introduces his interview with Fr. Jim Willick in Charlottetown, who embodies a unique vocational call in his own ministry. Continuing Call to Service coverage, Mandato reports on his discussion with Calgary-based sports chaplain Steve Sellers, who has long supported Canada’s elite athletes spiritually on some of the world's grandest stages. Amundson provides insight on his coverage of a devastating fire that destroyed one of Montreal's historic churches before Mandato and Conlon look to Cuba, where an already severe economic crisis threatens to be worsened by the U.S. fuel embargo; the two detail Amundson's conversation with Aid to the Church in Need about the vital humanitarian and pastoral support Catholics are providing long before government aid arrives.
